CHALLENGES
Every day in YouVersion there is a designated Bible verse for that day or a "verse of the day." Every single verse has a graphic paired with it. That's it. Simply a graphic that visually communicates a Bible verse.
Create graphic for assigned verse in both square and vertical format. These graphics are displayed both in app and on social media.
Complexity: Because the graphics are localized (translated into different languages), complexity can add roadblocks for translators who need to reproduce the images quickly.
IN-APP
I design Verse Images in both 9:16 and 1:1 ratios. The graphic appears on the user's home feed and at the end of the Verse of the Day experience, users are able to download and share the graphics I have designed. The first touchpoint is in-app.
SOCIAL
Social media always boosts how many views Verse Images receive. Though the app is on 670 million+ devices, the share-ability and ease in reposting makes social media a valuable platform for Verse Images to be seen. The best social media performer was and still is: Instagram.
